EWS QVWT (Quad Vibrating Wire Telemetry)

Geotechnical Monitoring

The EWS QVWT (Quad Vibrating Wire Telemetry) is a compact, low power, multi-comms VW data logger and transmitter in one.

The EWS QVWT (Quad Vibrating Wire Telemetry) is a versatile 4-channel , multi-communication enabled IoT device designed specifically for remote Geotechnical and Structural monitoring applications. Connect to any Vibrating Wire sensor such as VWP’s, Strain Gauges and Crack Meters, and transmit data from anywhere utilising either Iridium Satellite or cellular connectivity.

The device is fitted with rechargeable internal batteries and a specially designed clip on 3W solar panel for long term reliable monitoring. Ideal for sites with up to 4 Vibrating Wire instruments such as nested piezometer bores.

Direct to Cloud

EWS QVWT logs sensor data and transmits direct from device to cloud over either Iridium Satellite or Cellular connectivity.

First of its kind

The EWS QVWT is the first ever vibrating wire multi sensor unit that enables connectivity via both the Iridium Satellite Network.

Easy Plug ’n’ Play Deployment

The EWS QVWT enables multiple sensors and allows for up to 4 vibrating wire sensors at a time.

Real-time Geotechnical Monitoring via the Iridium Satellite Network

EWS QVWT

The QVWT, like all of our products, comes as either cellular or Iridium Satellite modem type. 4-channel inputs offer versatility around nested bores or clustered vibrating wire instruments.

The VW sensors are connected to the QVWT via a simple pluggable screw terminal block or M12 plug. The QVWT is programmed in the field via Bluetooth connection to the EWS Lynx mobile app.
